Brightwork\u2019s innovatieve combinatietechnologie voor verwijdering van microverontreinigingen naar testfase<\/h1>\n

Brightworks oplossing voor de verwijdering van microverontreinigingen uit afvalwater is onlangs getoetst aan de criteria van het Innovatieprogramma Microverontreinigingen van Stowa en het Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Waterstaat. Met positief resultaat: ze maken hun nu op voor het uitvoeren van een representatieve pilot, die de komende 2 jaar uitvoerig getest gaat worden.
\nDe kern van de oplossing is de inzet van een continu filter met een vulling van granulair actief kool, die belucht wordt. Doel is dat adsorptie en biologische afbraak simultaan kan plaatsvinden. Met als gevolg een langere standtijd van de kool, resulterend in een lagere CO2 voetafdruk. Maar dat is niet alles: ze gaan tegelijkertijd fosfaat verwijderen, door middel van een (kleine) coagulant dosering. Daarmee kunnen ze waterschappen \u00f3\u00f3k een oplossing bieden voor de KRW doelstellingen.
\nInmiddels zijn vijf Nederlandse waterschappen en het Belgische Aquafin aangehaakt om samen met hen deze pilot tot een succes te maken. Brightwork, lid van Water Alliance, kijkt uit naar een mooie samenwerking!
