De grafiek toont de gemiddelde zandcirculatiesnelheid (blauwe lijn) gedurende 48 uur en de bijbehorende standaarddeviatie (bovenste en onderste grijze lijn). Sand-cycle krijgt positieve feedback van onderzoekers die Sand-Cycle hebben gebruikt bij hun pilot-onderzoek met continue zandfiltratie bij WwTW Gardermoen in Noorwegen. Zij zijn enthousiast over het gebruik van dit instrument en hebben hun positieve feedback gerapporteerd.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Publicatie van de International Water Association (IWA)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Het onderzoek, uitgevoerd in opdracht van de Regionale Onderzoeksraad van de stad Oslo, richtte zich op de verwijdering van stikstof en fosfor in een continu zandfilter na MBBR-behandeling. Er werden consequent zeer lage effluentniveaus vastgesteld; de resultaten zijn door IWA gepubliceerd in de 80e jaargang, Issue 2, van Water Science & Technology (zie deze link: https:\/\/doi.org\/10.2166\/wst.2019.266<\/a> om het volledige artikel te lezen).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Robuust en gebruiksvriendelijk instrument<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Het onderzoeksteam heeft aangegeven dat Sand-Cycle een zeer handig instrument is om de goede werking van het filter te controleren. De resultaten zijn betrouwbaar en bovendien droeg Sand-Cycle bij aan de kwaliteit en intensiteit van het onderzoek. Snelle interventies waren mogelijk zodra Sand-Cycle procesafwijkingen constateerde, waardoor kostbare onderzoekstijd kon worden bespaard. Deze positieve ervaringen met Sand-Cycle bevestigen wat andere gebruikers al hebben ervaren. Sand-Cycle krijgt regelmatig positieve feedback van andere (inter)nationale referenties<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zand-Cyclus dashboard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Het onderstaande dashboard van de zandcyclus illustreert duidelijk het vastgelegde onderscheid tussen een goed en een slecht presterend filter. De spreiding tussen de gemiddelde en de standaardafwijkingswaarden geeft het homogeniteitsniveau van het systeem aan. Een grotere spreiding (dikkere band) impliceert dat weinig delen van de filters significant sneller of trager stromen.
