Rioolwaterzuiveringsinstallatie 'Leominster' in bedrijf<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Dwr Cymru Welsh Water heeft ge\u00efnvesteerd in de verbetering van zijn Leominster STP om te voldoen aan strengere criteria voor fosfor. Als onderdeel van het programma zijn tertiaire continue filters ge\u00efmplementeerd en in gebruik genomen vanaf 15 februari.th<\/sup> Vanaf 2024. Hoofdaannemer Morgan Sindall en aannemer Nijhuis Industries UK & Ireland voerden het werk uit. Wij ontwierpen en leverden de filterunits.<\/p>

Naast het verwijderen van P wordt de tertiaire zuiveringsinstallatie gebruikt voor biologische nitrificatie om ammoniak om te zetten in nitraat-stikstof. Het uiteindelijke effluent wordt geloosd op de rivier de Lugg.<\/p>

De verbetering van de zuiveringsinstallatie maakt deel uit van een groter programma om de waterkwaliteit van de oppervlaktewaterlichamen in Wales te verbeteren. Het volledige plaatje wordt beschreven in een manifest van DWR Cymru Welsh Water (zie: https:\/\/corporate.dwrcymru.com\/en\/community\/environment<\/a> ), die wijzen op belangrijke werkzaamheden in de hele regio om de waterkwaliteit van rivieren te helpen verbeteren.<\/p>
