Nordic Water’s DynaSand Filter is used for a wide range of tasks worldwide. During the start-up of
the DynaSand filter, the medium circulation rate, and the amount of washing water are optimally
adjusted for the local conditions. In the further course, the monitoring of the medium circulation
rate is labor-intensive using conventional methods. Even during operation, the medium circulation
rate is the most important indicator for possible complications and the performance status of the
filter. With the Sand-Cycle technology a real-time monitoring and control of the filter has been
developed. Continuous monitoring of this parameter can therefore contribute to optimizing the
filter performance and the associated parameters, but also to identifying and eliminating potential
problems and complications at an early stage.
