New tertiary process to remove micropollutants and phosphate from municipal treated wastewater tested at WwTW Emmen A pilot plant has been started at the waste water treatment plant of Emmen, Waterschap Vechtstromen. This pilot study, called Bio-GAK, aims to find an affordable and sustainable solution for removing micropollutants from treated wastewater before the water is discharged into surface water. Brightwork’s solution for micropollutants removal up for piloting Our solution for micropollutants removal from wastewater has recently been evaluated against the criteria of the Innovation Program Micropollutants of Stowa and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands.
