Adsorption processes

Both powdered and granular activated carbon is used in combination with the moving bed filtration technology to remove micropollutants.

Either the moving bed filter may be filled with granular activated carbon or an upstream powdered activated carbon contact reactor is used. In both cases the continuous circulation of the media allows the process to work efficiently. And enables multiple functions in one reactor: e.g. adsorptive removal of micropollutants and phosphorus removal. In combination with a sophisticated monitoring and control the performance is optimized and stable filtrate qualities are guaranteed.
