Presenting at European Waste Water Management Conference 2022. This yearโs EWWM (European Wastewater Management)ย conference is scheduled for July 12th and July 13th at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, UK. We are pleased to present live a joined paper together with Van Remmen UV Technology and Waterboard Brabantse Delta. It is about the strong features of combining tertiary sand filtration and UV technology, based on results obtained at the waste water treatment plants of Kaatsheuvel (the Netherlands) and Vรคxjo (Sweden). We are pleased to present a paper about the potential of tertiary sand filtration and UV radiation to meet tomorrow’s effluent

Brightworkโs solution for micropollutants removal up for piloting Our solution for micropollutants removal from wastewater has recently been evaluated against the criteria of the Innovation Program Micropollutants of Stowa and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management in the Netherlands. With a positive result: we are now preparing to carry out a representative pilot, which will be extensively tested over the next 2 years. The core of the solution is the use of a continuous aerated filter with a filter media consisting of granular activated carbon. The aim is to allow adsorption and biological degradation to take place simultaneously. The

Efficient method for removal of aromatic carbons
Efficient method for removal of aromatic carbons At soil remediation and drainages ground water may be contaminated with mono- and polycyclic hydrocarbons. These components are often present in concentrations which do not allow further processing unless the water is treated. An appropriate solution is required to handle this. Familiar treatment methods apply the use of activated carbon. This generates a downside: after saturation the carbon is to be regenerated or to be wasted. Biological degradation in a continuous moving bed media filter is successfully applied to convert both mono-cyclic and poly-cyclic hydrocarbons into harmless components. The oxygen required for the
